Tips for searching the digital collections

Search terms are not case sensitive
·
Use an asterisk at the end of character string to broaden search results. For example, nurs* retrieves nurses and nursing. Search for 195* will retrieve records within the date range 1950 to 1959. An asterisk at the beginning or in the middle of a string is treated as part of the search string, not as a wild card.

Click on any highlighted term within an item record to retrieve other records containing the same term.

Use quotation marks around your search term to retrieve records which include your exact phrase.

Boolean operators {and, or, not} may be used to refine your search results.
