	1890 Cornerstone from the College of Medicine location at Second and Sherman Streets Title 1890 Cornerstone from the College of Medicine location at Second and Sherman Streets Creator(s) Horace Marvin, M.D. (photographer) Date of original image or object 1974 Description of content During the construction of the Education II building at 4301 West Markham, the cornerstone from the College's Second & Sherman location was unearthed. After the Education II building was completed in 1977, the cornerstone was located east of the Education I (Shorey) Building. Currently, the cornerstone is in the Chancellor's Garden. The carving on the stone reads: Building Committee; A.L. Breysacher, M.D.; C. Watkins, M.D.; T.E. Murrell, M.D.; Frank W. Gibb, architect; Cajul & Grooms Builders. The metal plaque on the bottom of the stone indicates that it was donated by Mr. And Mrs. Vincent Coco of Little Rock. The Cocos were the last owners of the building at Second and Sherman.
